Program for Pre-preschool Aged Kids
Spuyten Duyvil Preschool’s urban naturalist, Michelle Byron, will lead a small group of children through developmentally appropriate, hands-on seasonal experiences centered around inquiry and exploration of the natural world. They will be based in Sputen Duyvil’s rich and unique farm and garden space at the school.
Activities will include:
- starting seedlings in greenhouse
- exploring for life underground
- site based drawing, painting, collage
- nature-related read-alouds
- cooking
- processing worm & bin compost
Dates, Time, and Cost
- February 26 thru May 13, 2024
- Monday and Thursday
- 9:15-11:15
- $800 for 20 sessions
Additional Information
- Child must be accompanied by a caregiver who is expected to be a full participant in all activities.
- Class is held in all weather. If the school needs to cancel, the class or classes will be rescheduled. If a child is absent we cannot make any refunds.
